Marcus Tout - Director and Insolvency Practitioner at Approved Recovery
Marcus graduated from Portsmouth University in 2004 with a Ba(Hons) in Business Studies. Shortly after graduating he commenced training as an Insolvency Administrator with BKR Haines Watts and then continued his training with Portland Business & Financial Solutions Limited.
In 2008 Marcus joined Tenon, a top 10 UK accountancy firm. In 2011 Marcus qualified as an Insolvency Practitioner and was subsequently promoted to Associate Director. In September 2013 RSM Tenon merged with Baker Tilly. The firm continued to grow and in 2015 became RSM, an international firm of accountants and business advisors, ranked 7th largest accountancy practice in the UK.
Throughout his career Marcus has specialised in Members’ Voluntary Liquidations (“MVLs"). He was a member of RSM’s MVL working party and partner focus group whose role was to continuously develop and improve the firm’s offering.
In 2019 Marcus became a licensed Insolvency Practitioner. With a passion for delivering exceptional client service, Marcus was eager to start up a firm of Insolvency Practitioners providing liquidations to small companies. With the support of long-term friend Jon Green and his business partner Matthew Gair, Approved Recovery Limited was born.

Matt is the Director at Approved Accounting, leveraging a background that encompasses general practice and industry specific roles, he combines exceptional accounting knowledge with more specialist areas, such as, financial modelling and corporate finance. Matt is also a fellow of the ICAEW.
Roles in the software sector as Financial Planning & Analysis and later as Finance Director, have developed his skills in implementing accounting systems seamlessly within businesses, irrespective of their size. His expertise helps clients create efficient financial systems that work seamlessly and pave the way for real commercial growth.
